研究领域:水稻遗传育种、水稻分子遗传学、水稻分子育种等。


 澳门十大正规老牌网赌教授、博士生导师、中国工程院院士。2000年回国工作,历任澳门十大正规老牌网赌院长、中国农业科学院作物科学研究所所长、中国农业科学院副院长。兼任中国作物学会常务副理事长、中国农业生物技术学会理事长、国家转基因生物新品种培育科技重大专项技术总师、国家发改委生物技术产业咨询委员会副秘书长、国家重点研发计划专家组组长。长期从事水稻优异基因挖掘和分子育种研究,在国内较早提出和初步实践了作物分子设计育种。先后主持国家863、国家自然科学基金等多项重大课题。在水稻籼粳交杂种优势利用基础研究、品质优异基因挖掘、抗病虫新基因挖掘和优质高产多抗粳稻新品种选育等方面取得重要进展。克隆水稻重要新基因36个,培育新品种13个,获新品种权22项、发明专利36项。在ScienceNatureNature BiotechnologyNature ComminucationDevelopmental CellPNASPlant CellSCI刊物发表论文200余篇,出版专著3部。研究成果抗条纹叶枯病高产优质粳稻新品种选育及应用” 2010年获国家科技进步一等奖(第一完成人),并获教育部2010年度高校十大科技进展。水稻籼粳杂种优势利用相关基因挖掘与新品种培育”2014年获国家技术发明二等奖(第一完成人)。研究成果入选教育部2014年度高校十大科技进展和2014年度中国科学十大进展。所领衔的团队“水稻遗传育种创新团队”获评2018年江苏省首届十佳研究生导师团队,2006年入选新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选,2012年入选科技部创新团队,2012年获得何梁何利基金科学与技术进步奖。2015年当选为中国工程院院士。
